Rude customer service. I wanted to know if I could get a cash advance from my credit card. The teller didn't know if she could, so she put me on the phone with a specialist. The specialist told me I needed to speak with a teller. I told him "the teller put me on the phone with you because she didnt know, and you're a credit card specialist." He then started explaining that he handles credit card stuff but not that specific thing... which is fine... but as I was listening to him he was obviously working himself up through his lengthy explanation and started speaking louder and louder until he was yelling at me (mean while I had been silently listening this whole time). I then hung up. I wont attempt business with this bank again. I've worked for banks in the past as a teller and the lack of training of the teller and the completely unacceptable behavior of this "specialist" was unreal.

Absolute WORST bank I have ever done business with! If it weren't for the fact that the nearest bank is over 40 miles away, I would have closed my account at AFB the same day I opened it. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! Their tellers are incredibly slow and don't know federal banking laws in the slightest bit. I have worked as a teller for 10 years and would have been fired my first day if I treated customers like they do. EVERY time I go in there to make a deposit I get hassled. From my experience as a teller, we were required to know federal banking laws and regulations like the back of our hands...Yet these tellers (and even a lot of the managers) don't even know the most basic regulations. It's pathetic! They ALL need more training and better attitudes! I will NEVER EVER bank at Armed Forces Bank again!!

Terrible customer service. If you ever need ANYTHING (online password reset, new pin, new card, etc), you'll have to call and waste half of your life on hold. I haven't spent less than 50 minutes per call.
Good luck

If you want a bank that charges fees for everything and does zero favors for soldiers, this is your bank Customer Service was fine, but the fact that they advertise as a military bank is comical
