First time with OneMain financial, and this is a very poor quality and bad experience!!! Why wouldn't I be disappointed? When they state their loan is for helping customers such as debt consolidation, being one of them. And now they have put me in more debt, they did not even make a proper payment towards my bills. They had so much time to make a one time payment, but now make my credit score and history look bad, let it be alone, I should of have taken care of it sooner. But I thought I was in good hand and can trust this business. I'll never recommend this business especially now sound like they can't do much for me anymore. Because of you guys, I now have a penalty late fees, and my score is going to be affected. Handle your business better in the future.

The person that I worked with was great a few years back. I won’t name drop but if the company ask I will provide only a good review for her. Professional and informative.
This was my second loan with OneMain. I got approved more than I needed the second time around which help consolidate debt and my trip to Japan. I was educated from the loan specialist you can request for a lower interest rate after if you payments are on time, etc. Anyways, requested for a lower interest rate two years later and was denied.
Please don’t inform you borrowers they can lower their interest rate if we can’t. I’ve been on time with my payments, spoke over the phone with a specialist, then informed me this will affect your credit score if we make the request. I understood the risks of my credit score being lowered if I made the requests but I was encouraged by OneMain to request lower interests when I signed up.
If it sounds too good to be true, don’t do it. Just get what you need and do not borrow more than you should. Do not request for a lower interest rate, it will not help and could potentially affect your credit score.

Terrible! Never get a loan from One Main!! I was quoted one APR and given a higher one once I got into the office. Opened my account in the Elk Grove office and my account was switched to West Sac without them telling me. Didn't know until I called to see about a one time courtesy payment skip for a month. The girl I talked to said "Oh lets see about refinancing and lowering payment." Since they have all my info, did not think there would be a hard pull and she did not inform me there would be. But yep hard pull!! AND apparently, unlike other companies who give you a courtesy skip payment once a year, they charge you almost the same cost of the payment to skip it!!! Of the $1535 I have paid back, only a little over $300 has gone to the principal. DON'T DO IT!!!!!

OneMain has been the most friendliest, fast and most knowledgeable bank I have ever encountered. It is because of they go the extra mile to want to take care of their customers that separates them from the rest. Trustworthy and friendliness goes a long way and they will deliver! Highly recommend these great folks!

I took a loan out due to an emergency financial issue. They mailed me a letter with a may8 first payment date but took an unauthorized electronic payment on 4/25. Which set me back on my bills and caused an over draft fee. When I called to have this corrected they told me that the lady would write my loan originally was no longer with the company and that they would need to rewrite the loan. (It had only been 2 weeks). The last I spoke to on the phone was very apologetic and offer to refund me the payment and the overdraft fee. A week and a half later I’m still waiting on the return. I called today and just had them apply the payment to the May 8 date since they are taking so long to get my money back to me. And of coarse they have to mail me a check instead of putting the money back how they got it. Once this loan is paid I will never get another loan with this company. Poor business ethic imo.
