My husband and I have been banking with this credit union for years, we've had a great experience with Mathew Boone, hes gone above and beyond to make a loan happen for us we would highly recommend them to anyone.
My father used to tell me stories about the days when you could just call your lender up and he would take care of you. Rim Country federal Credit Union is the place with the hometown feel that takes care with each their customers, no matter your status level. Not to mention interest rates are lower than most banks.

Better going with someone who knows what they're doing!
- No online statements.
- System security very lax
- Mail only correspondence.
- Customer service is mediocre at best. You might get a better answer depending who answers the phone that day though!
Bank manager would not even speak to me personally even though I have had bank accounts and a mortgage there for over 6 years. A Delay in the USPS caused my check to be late, and they issued a late fee and notified me by mail (which was also delayed). Now they are reporting late payments to the credit bureau over a $25 late fee for a customer who has never paid late and has thousands of dollars stored in their accounts. It doesn't matter how good of a customer you think you are, they won't even speak to you.

This is a bank services review of how they run things as a single one building small town bank.That being said, any issues you have better be handled during business hours = think of banks back in the 1980's , archaic. Things they don't do: Reprint/or have a PDF of bank statements. If you want to pay for a large car repair, furniture on a weekend , or a family fun road trip you cant unless you call and ask permission to use more of your own money... during business hours of course. No 24 hour phone service. They supposedly handle millions of local dollars and cant afford an after hours phone teller? You will get charged if you dip under $500 even if you have retirement/permanent direct deposit ( Other banks are no fee ). I double paid a few bills one month by accident, and over drew by less then $20, our debit card was turned off with no phone call or warning despite the fact we have 2 permanent direct deposits coming in the very next day. Not cool. It takes up to 3 or 4 days for transactions to show in the account , very slow. Think 1980's when Mom could write a check and it doesn't withdraw for days. Many auto pay services cant be set up because nationwide businesses don't recognize them as a bank especially since the routing number is shorter than other banks. What can I say, I'm lazy like that. A 10 day hold for a MONEY ORDER or another banks CASHIERS CHECK doesn't make sense, both are considered like cash at other banks. No ATM machine at the bank itself ? They just seem oblivious to a number of common services other banks have. They were forced to update their online services about a year ago due to the fact theirs was so old and wouldn't work with the rest of the modern world soon. How funny is that? True story, I talked to the personnel inside the bank about it. I was a Teller, excuse me, I mean a Customer Service Rep for a number of years myself. So these are just a few of the common things that were in place 20 years ago that this bank doesn't care about and hasn't caught up with the modern world, its obvious this bank isn't here for the average person , and wouldn't have survived the 50 plus years if it was. There is nothing of importance here that cant be done better at another credit union. We preferred to keep our money local but with the silly issues happening and sheer inconvenience, we are going to move to a different bank as soon as possible. Again this is a bank services review of how they run things. The Tellers/Customer service reps who work there are AWESOME and they get it. They are just doing their jobs and have no say in policy.
