I have banked with AK USA for 22 years and I will not bank with any other banking institute. AK USA has always provided me and my family excellent customer service. Thank you AK USA for being awesome!

Lady I talked to on the phone was incredibly rude and wouldn’t let me speak. Applied for a simple loan and haven’t gotten a straight answer in over a week. Talked to 3 different people now and all have given me different information. Whole process has been frustrating and will not be applying for a loan from them again

I would like to start by saying I wish there was a zero star option for AKUSA. I banked with them for approximately 5 years following a home loan through them, these were the worst 5 years of banking in my life, the loan process is painful and like pulling teeth even when you make good money, have low debt to income and good-excellent credit score. They always acted like they had no idea my income even though it direct deposited into their bank, pre approval's that should take hours have taken days and when it comes to closing on anything including small consumer loans expect that day to be gone. I have been through most of their loan departments, Mortgage, raw land and consumer loans for various things and every time was utterly disappointed with there competency and urgency. I have since moved on to better banking options (anyone in the valley other than AKUSA) and have never been happier. Please do your research and avoid the headache of this credit union. I have been so upset with dealing with AKUSA that when I buy or sell land or real-estate or anything I wont accept offers from people using AKUSA because you run a high risk of not completing the sale due to a lack of competency on the lenders end.
If one good thing has come from this bank it has made me realize that paying cash is way less headache then dealing with a poor credit union.

I've never been to a bank with such friendly, fast, and efficient tellers! I go to the bank fairly often. Every time is quick and comfortable, never had a bad experience.

Every time I come in here, the tellers act super aloof. Spencer seems like the only cool one there. Everyone else could use a lesson in good customer service.

Mostly, doing business over the phone with this "new" Global Credit Union. I was with Alaska Federal Credit Union for over 40 years. Never had a wait time, never a problem. With GLOBAL, you can expect wait times up to AN HOUR. I tried TODAY to apply online for a car loan. Not happening. Their website for LOANS WAS DOWN. I guess they don't want to loan any money. I am fed up with them. The only light is that the people who used to work for AKUSA FCU are still hanging in there, in Wasilla, Alaska. When I go to the two branches here in our town, I get help. But, NEVER over the phone. And, sometimes, I need help and the only way I can get it is OVER THE PHONE. They need to improve their CUSTOMER SERVICE in the FIELD. I am not a satisfied customer! They need to make improvements. A lot of them, especially if they want to keep my business!!!

I've banked with akusa for 20 years. They sold to a new company, and since then, I've had nothing but problems. I called on an account I had at zero, that I was about to send money to. Over 10 thousand dollars in fact. Now I know that's a big process not a few clicks. After being on hold for an hr I finally got a manager who in a snotty tone said *you don't even have that money in your account* cause I was asking about the transfer before I did it, and she misunderstood me. So instead, I'm missing a 2 month out dentist appointment, and going home to remove the 100 thousand plus dollars from this bank. I'm done.

In my experience. Poor lending customer service commercial, and consumer. They always act like their hands are tied and can’t do anything and then you go and find another lender, and they seal the deal. Probably will be moving my bank accounts as I did my mortgage.
